Think spending the entire summer by the pool and getting paid sounds like a dream come true? City of Troy Family Aquatic Center is looking for responsible, energetic, and communicative individuals to join us as lifeguards this summer.
As a lifeguard, you'll be in charge of ensuring the safety of our members and guests. Working at City of Troy Family Aquatic Center means competitive pay and endless fun. Join the team that every student wants to be a part of and kickstart your summer with us.
If you're up for a role that offers a mix of responsibility, teamwork, and the chance to enhance the safety and enjoyment of our campers, then this position is for you. Help us maintain safe and welcoming aquatics areas for all visitors.
As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with knowledge of safety considerations
• Ability to swim confidently in deep water and use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, treading water without hands for 2 minutes, etc.)
• Preferred experience working with or teaching children
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
• Minimum age of 18
